Radio Voice Turned Advocate: Pacey Cervantes Launches Congressional Campaign in California’s 3rd District

Beloved Northern California Broadcaster Enters 2026 Race to Champion Affordable Healthcare and Take on Corporate Greed

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Northern Californians know his voice – now they’ll get to know his vision. Longtime radio personality and community advocate Lyndon “Pacey” Cervantes today announced his campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives in California’s 3rd Congressional District, running as a Democrat in 2026.

Cervantes, who spent more than two decades on air at 105.1 KNCI, Now 100.5, V101, and The End, says his campaign is rooted in the same values that built his connection with listeners: honesty, community, and accountability.

“If the federal healthcare system weren’t such a mess, I believe my mother would be alive today,” said Cervantes. “No one should lose a loved one because they can’t afford care. I’m running to make sure families like mine never have to go through that again.”

His campaign will focus on expanding affordable healthcare and challenging corporate monopolies – starting with transforming massive utilities like PG&E into community-owned, not-for-profit energy providers.

Running under the banner “Bill the Billionaires,” Cervantes is calling for the wealthiest Americans to finally pay their fair share.

“This campaign is about the people who make Northern California strong – not the corporations that take advantage of them,” Cervantes added.

  • I was born in Northern California, and NorCal will always be my home. Even though I’ve lived up and down this state, the longest I’ve lived in one city is Sacramento. I’ve had an amazing career in radio over the past two decades, including 105.1 KNCI, Now 100.5, V101, The End, and more. My main reason I loved my job was the ability to make people’s days a little brighter and a little less heavier. What really got me thinking about running for congress was being my mother’s caretaker for three years before she passed. When she had her stroke due to diabetes, the federal government essentially left her for dead at her home in Tennessee. If I hadn’t flown there to sell her house and move her into mine, she would not have survived those three years. My worry is for all those people that don’t have someone to take care of them, that are essentially left for dead because our federal healthcare system is so broken. While Republicans are trying to take away our healthcare, I am trying to expand it more than it has ever been expanded before. We will pay for this by Billing the Billionaires.

  • Today is a very emotional day for me. A career which has spanned almost two decades is coming to an end. It’s very rare for people in radio to be able to leave on their own terms, I’m so happy I was able to do so. I am leaving radio in order to pursue something so big that my hands are shaking even typing this. It’s something I’ve been working on for almost a year now. I’ll be running for California’s Congressional 3rd District in order to unseat Kevin Kiley and flip the seat from Republican to Democrat. Even if you aren’t in my district to vote for me, this is bigger than just one district. Please consider donating to the campaign. Click here to donate. Any amount matters, whether it be $5 or more. Thank you for your support throughout the years.
